International Womens' Day with Chantelle Paris SoftStretch #AD

As many obstacles this life throws at us, I love being a woman. Of course I don't know what it feels like to be a man, but I know that being a woman is just extra special. We go through sooooo much and still push through.

If you was to tell me at 12 I would be this woman at 32... I wouldn't have believed you. I don't actually know what type of woman I dreamed of being at that age, but if young Rachael could see this Rachael she would be proud.

I want to toot my horn a little bit....The three qualities I love about myself, that have made me become a better woman for myself are...

- I am able to determine when I am wrong and work towards correcting my faults. It takes letting go of pride and ego...and isn't easy but its a daily process

- I love my confidence and power. I know who I am. I know who I want to become and that drives and excites me everyday. I haven't always been that way, but I am proud of where I am.

- I love how open I am to being open. I encourage and support the space for others to be who they are. I try not to be judgemental and allow people to be who they are. I have also been able to determine who may not be for me and my space, which may not have me in a great space to grow for myself. This is something I worked on heavily last year. My quote for 2019 was.... meet people where they are..not where you want them to be!!

I encourage you..yes you reading this... to celebrate yourself as well as others. We find it so easy at times to praise others constantly...most times because we see something in them we wish to be. We rarely take time to sit back and think....what makes me great.. do it!! It is allowed!

International Women's Day* is celebrated on the 8th of March every year. It is a focal point in the movement for women's rights and is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

I had the pleasure of being a part of Chantelle Paris' International Women's Day campaign showcasing and 5 different influencers who celebrate womenhood in their own unique way.

Chantelle has always been all about empowering women with different body shapes, making them feel positive in their body and mind.
More recently, our goal has been to redefine the way lingerie is portrayed, reflect better the world we live in, and drive the lingerie industry into a new area of creativity, avoiding stereotypes and bringing meaning to it all.

Each woman wore items from the Chantelle Paris SoftStretch collection, which is designed to feel like a second skin to the body and not like your standard underwear. I was walking around all day forgetting I only had my underwear on. The pieces are so comfortable and what I love the most is the way the pieces fit to the body. SoftStretch has a one size concept, available in sizes XS-XL and XL-4XL, which is genius to me, as our bodies are constantly changing. So these pieces allow you to feel comfortable and not restricted.

I am honoured to be a part of such an empowering, strong and amazing campaign with these women. Each one has a beautiful journey full of determination, courage and strength. I also love working with brands such as Chantelle Paris who continue to champion inclusivity, body positivity and femininity.

As hard as it is to be a woman, I encourage you to keep going!! Visualise the woman you want to become and chase her. It isn't easy, it requires work and a lot of truth, but it is possible.
