Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.

Its another semi-deep post with thought..just the mood I'm in.

A lot of us are hurting deep down. A lot of us are in pain. We may not fully understand why or how, but we know that it hurts.

I often wonder if we make ourselves hurt more because we don't know how to handle and deal with pain in an effective way. I think we have been programmed to just go over it and move along, and the pain gets deeper and deeper.

Maybe its pride.
Maybe we are so scared of being vulnerable as we equate that to weakness.
Maybe we don't have the tools or knowledge to do better, or we do and we just choose to act

I think we are very good at acting like everything is ok and everything looks great on the outside. We smile in pain very often and cry in silence.

I didn't really have a reason as to why I decided to write this, but I felt like doing so and I just want to say.

Its ok not to be ok sometimes.
Your feelings are valid
and if you require space, make it for yourself. Now I know this may be hard as we can't just drop everything... but find a way to put yourself first sometimes.

Your wellbeing is your roots.
Your soul is your garden
and if you aren't watering it from time to time..guess what happens.
